Condensation acts very much similar to that of a sponge but only for lava blocks. Condensation is capable of absorbing up to 64 blocks worth of lava. Condensation must be placed either adjacent or directly in lava for it to absorb any lava.
Condensation belongs to the Lamy collection and does not have a prerequisite to unlock it's recipe. Condensation does however have a somewhat cheap cost to craft requiring:
Condensation blocks can be placed down anywhere but will consume the block if there aren't any lava blocks adjacent to it.
Condensation will absorb all lava up until it has either has hit the hard cap of 64 lava blocks or there isn't any more lava left.
Much like the Frost Layer, Condensation will only absorb all lava within it's area and will not pass through blocks to absorb any lava blocks not already connected to the current body of lava.
it's best to use Condensation on lava source blocks if possible, this is because getting rid of large bodies of lava source blocks also gets rid of subsequent flowing lava blocks.
Condensation makes for one of the best methods to clear out large bodies of lava. (e.g. Lava seas in the Nether or lava rivers underground)
Due to how Condensation absorbs lava, this also makes Condensation a great method for getting rid of lava pillars in the Nether.
Condensation is a great block to have when TNT or bed-blasting for ancient debris as it reduces the risk of dying and also cleans up lava making it easier to find ancient debris.
