¶ Frost Layer
The Frost Layer uses a charging mechanic where snow blocks can be inputted into the charging menu to increase the charge of the Frost Layer. The charge menu may be opened using the left mouse button where up to nine stacks, or 576 snow blocks may be inserted. The Frost Layer is activated using the right mouse button when looking at a snow block. The Frost Layer will begin using all the snow blocks currently in the charge menu and place them in a four pointed star shape in cardinal directions starting from that snow block.
¶ Crafting
The Frost Layer belongs to the Lamy collection and does not have a prerequisite to unlock it's recipe. The Frost layer does however have a somewhat expensive cost to craft requiring:
- Three Sticks
- Three Blue Ice Blocks
- One Heart of the Sea
¶ Notes
- The Frost Layer doesn't require a full charge to activate and requires a minimum of one snow block in the charge menu to activate.
- The Frost Layer will not replace blocks and instead continue placing blocks in other spots where space is available.
- This includes semi solid blocks like water.
- If there isn't and available space left for snow blocks to be placed, then the Frost Layer will stop placing snow blocks.
- A player who's head is on the same layer where snow blocks are being placed, that player can and will begin suffocation.
¶ Tips
- The Frost Layer is useful for placing down large quantities of snow blocks due to the rapid rate it places snow blocks down.
- With prior and proper set up, bridges can be quickly constructed using the Frost Layer.
- To prevent accidently placing the Frost Layer and delete the snow blocks currently in the charge menu, the Frost Layer should be kept out of the hotbar at all times.
