The Potion Satchel can carry up to nine splash or lingering potions in the charge menu. the charge menu can be opened with the left mouse button. Potions in the Potion Satchel may be slung just like splash potions and lingering potions but they are slung for a further distance. Slinging a potion is done by using the right mouse button.
The Potion Satchel belongs to the Shion collection and does have a prerequisite to unlock it's recipe. This prerequisite demands the player infuse 290 ingredients (not including Netherwart) to unlock the recipe. The Potion Satchel has a somewhat cheap cost to craft requiring:
Despite being made with a shulker box, the Potion Satchel cannot hold up to 27 potions.
Potions in the Potion Satchel's charge menu are slung from left to right.
The Potion Satchel does not work with potions that do not have the ‘splashing’ or ‘lingering’ effect on them.
The Potion Satchel works in tandem with the Witch's Bracelet and can be controlled as to where they're slung, though they are a bit harder to control.
Weirdly enough, the Potion Satchel cannot be moved around in the player's inventory during certain interfaces. (e.g Smoker, Brewing stand, etc)
Certain Holoitems potions (Like potions brewed with Secret Brew) will turn into uncraftable splashing/lingering potions. They may be slung like normal but will not yield any effect upon contact. Upon opening the Potion Satchel's menu with these potions inside and exiting the menu will cause all uncraftable splash potions in the charge menu to drop on the ground.
Due to the longer distance in which potions are slung at, the Potion Satchel makes using damaging and debuff potions much more viable in pvp situations.
The Witch's Bracelet makes this even better as potions are slung further, faster with the Potion Satchel compared to a potion tossed normally.
The Potion Satchel being able to carry nine potions make it a great storage system for transportation of potions freeing up lots of space.
Potion Satchels with potions in them may also be placed in storage containers like shulker boxes as well. This means you can carry even more potions in just one shulker box without having to use up inventory space.
