¶ Splinter
The Splinter is a wooden axe that breaks all wood logs, leaves, and mushroom blocks that are adjacent to each other, with a maximum capacity of 32 blocks being broker per swing. The Splinter has 3136 durability, giving it a higher durability than Netherite tier tools.
The Splinter can both be used as an enchantable tool and as an enchantment that can be applied onto axes.
¶ Crafting
The Splinter belongs to the Flare collection. It requires the player to chop 4,200 wood logs to unlock the recipe. The Splinter requires the following materials to craft:
- One Stick
- Three Scutes
- One Conduit
¶ Notes
- The Splinter will break all wood starting from where the player broke the first block.
- Despite being made with a conduit, the Splinter does not provide any benefits while being in water.
- On top of logs, the Splinter also works on stripped logs, wood, and stripped wood. However, it does not work on wooden planks or other wood derived blocks.
¶ Enchantments
Splinter can be enchanted with:
- Silk Touch
- Leaves are affect by the Splinter
- Unbreaking
- Mending
- Lunar Laser: Instantly breaks glass blocks
- Does not get affected by Splinter's ability
Splinter can be applied onto other axes, including the Comet, as an enchantment. The cost to combine is tremendously expensive, taking 39 levels.
¶ Tips
- Due to the versatility and usefulness of an axe, adding the Splinter and Lunar Laser enchants along with all the other base enchantments makes a fully enchanted axe one of the best tools available.
- Despite the possibility of being applied to the comet, it may be best to not apply the Splinter enchant onto it because of it's durability of 32. This means that in one swing the Comet could break.
- Due to how fast wooden logs/mushroom blocks can be gathered with the Splinter, carrying bottles o' enchanting is useful for replenishing the Splinter's durability.
