¶ Backstab
Backstab is a sword that when the right mouse button is pressed, teleports the player behind the target they're currently looking at. Other than this effect, the Backstab acts as a normal sword. The Backstab has a durability of 32 and the Backstab can be enchanted.
¶ Crafting
The Backstab belongs to the Suisei collection and does have a prerequisite to unlock it's recipe. This prerequisite demands the player that 2100 Nether mobs be slain. The Backstab has a fairly cheap cost to craft requiring:
- Two Gilded Blackstone
- One End Rod
¶ Notes
- The Backstab when teleporting behind players does not face the target towards their back, instead the player faces away from them.
- The teleporting effect from the Backstab doesn't deal damage and the player must attack their target normally.
- The Backstab will only work if the player is in a certain range of their target, otherwise if they're too close or too far the backstab will not work
- The backstab consumes durability even if the teleport doesn't work.
- If the target is back against a corner the player can sometimes phase through the wall and appear on the opposite side of it.
¶ Enchants
Backstab can carry all standard sword enchantments. Acceptable enchantments for backstab are:
- Sharpness/ Smite/ Bane of Arthropods
- Sweeping Edge
- Knockback
- Fire Aspect
- Looting
- Unbreaking
- Mending
¶ Tips
- The Backstab is a great tool for quick deception as it could cause possible confusion as to where the player is.
- The Backstab can use the teleport effect to get out of trouble thanks to the fact the player faces away from the target.
- If targets are lined up properly, the Backstab can be used to chain teleports which can be used in a variety of different ways.
- The Backstab isn't super effective against clustered up targets, as this'll lead to uncertainty to who and where the player will teleport to.
