The Backdash are a pair of boots that when the player presses the keybind for sneaking, dashes the player back a few blocks. The Backdash has a durability of 65. The Backdash can be both enchanted and used as an enchant for boots.
Despite the Backdash dashing the player backwards, as long the sneaking keybind is held, the player will not be sent off an edge.
The Backdash will yield more distance traveled if used in the air.
The Backdash doesn't get slowed down in certain blocks like water, lava, and powdered snow.
The Backdash will however get severely slowed by blocks like cobwebs and soul sand.
Merely pressing the keybind while dismounting off an object like a boat or pig will not dash the player backwards. However if the sneak keybind is held then the player will get dashed back.
The Backdash can be used in tandem with an elytra mid-flight and will dash the player back mid-air.
Backdashing with an elytra can also cause kinetic damage to the player if they hit a wall interestingly enough.
The Backdash can be enchanted with all enchants that any boots are able to be enchanted with. Some enchants can be overwritten with each other. Aside from overwritable enchantments, it is possible to create a backdash with every enchant that it can possibly have.
The Backdash can be used to enchant boots with the ‘Backdash’ enchantment. If the Backdash is enchanted with other enchantments first, they will not transfer over to the boots. Backdash is an expensive enchant to apply onto boots, usually costing 20 levels. The Backdash's durability will increase based on the tier boots it is enchanted to.
